Marcus Piavonius Victorinus, Gallic emperor, 268 - 270
Another capable general of the breakaway Gallic empire, Victorinus succeeded to the throne on the death of Marius. History is fairly silent
about this time period. Spain broke away from the Gallic empire and returned its allegiance to Rome. There was a rebellion in Autun, which was successfully put down by Victorinus, but shortly afterwards, he was assassinated.
