Marcus Aurelius Claudius Quintillus, 270

Quintillus was the brother of Claudius II . On the death of Claudius, Quintillus was proclaimed emperor by his troops. Less than two weeks later, Aurelian made a bid for power, and the troops of Quintillus flocked to him. Left in a hopeless situation, Quintillus committed suicide after a reign of just seventeen days.
