Valerius Licinianus Licinius, Caesar 317 - 324The son of Licinius I
, Licinius II was appointed Caesar at the same time as Crispus and Constantine II, the sons of Constantine I. The
relations between the two Augusti, Constantine I and Licinius I
, were ever poor (see Licinius I), and at the final battle between them in 324,
the lives of both Licinii were spared. Licinius II retired into private life.
