Delmatius

Flavius Julius Delmatius, Caesar 335 - 337

Delmatius was a nephew of the emperor Constantine I , and cousins to his sons. He was made Caesar at the time when Constantine was making just about all his relatives Caesars, perhaps in an effort to dilute the power of the post. Inevitably, Delmatius lost his life in the great purge instituted by Constantine's sons after his death in 337.
